Mission

The Classical Theatre of Harlem is a not-for-profit professional theatre company

About

The Classical Theatre of Harlem has four programs: an indoor season; an outdoor season; Project Classics; and a Reading Series: Future Classics & Playwrights' Playground. Our indoor season consists of theatrical productions -- usually a classic and a contemporary play. Our outdoor season is a partnership with the City Parks Foundation and usually includes the presentation of a single play at Marcus Garvey Park. Project Classics is a program that introduces theater skills to young people who live in upper Manhattan, generally above 96th Street. The two reading series present plays that have not yet been produced, and are at various stages of artistic development.
