The concert choir is Highbridge Voices largest program, serving 70 students, ages nine through eighteen. Students participate in weekly musical, academic, and recreational activities. Musical activities include individual voice lessons, music theory classes, music history classes, and choir rehearsals. Academic activities include New York State standardized test and Regents exam preparation, as well as individualized and group tutoring. Students who demonstrate new or ongoing academic deficiencies are required to attend additional tutoring sessions and to meet with an academic teacher or tutor, as needed. The concert choir program operates 5 days per week, Monday through Friday, and is in session thirty-three weeks per year. The concert choir gives performances in the Bronx community and throughout New York City.
