Mission
Two hundred years after its founding, the ASBC church saw the need for even greater involvement in its support of the area’s youth. In 2002, the church voted to form a separate Foundation that was to be a non-profit, charitable organization to expand the church’s mission. In 2007, the ASBC Foundation voted to have as its primary mission, the awarding of college scholarships for financially challenged, high achieving graduating seniors. Since then, the Foundation has awarded over $2 Million to over 500 students in the Metropolitan Washington Dc area. In 2021, over $450,000 was awarded to over 120 students entering college.
