City Bar Justice Center ("CBJC") operates a large free civil legal hotline and ten legal projects to provide free legal assistance to low-income, disadvantaged New Yorkers with essential life matters. CBJC's core efforts include immigration projects, Cancer Advocacy and Elderlaw, Consumer Bankruptcy, homeowner stability, Federal Pro Se Legal Assistance, Legal Clinic for the Homeless, LGBT Advocacy, Neighborhood Entrepreneur Law Project, Planning and Estates Law, and Veterans Assistance Project. CBJC delivers services by recruiting and training volunteer attorneys and matching them with the vetted cases of poor and underserved New Yorkers.
