Independent living skills training/life skills - programs and services that educate and assist individuals to live independently in the community. Teaching life skills, including budgeting, sign language, mobility/travel training, socialization skills, coping skills, and personal care attendant management. Household management, including education and training necessary for living in the community and participating in community activities are also a part of independent living skills training/life skills, as is time spent developing an independent living plan. Participants may be receiving services at the center, in their homes, schools and places of employment. Services will be provided to assist the participant to transition to a least restrictive environment. Total consumers served were 1629.
