The mission of Junior Achievement is to prepare and inspire young people to succeed in a global economy Junior Achievement (JA) empowers young people to own their economic success by delivering entrepreneurship, workforce readiness and financial literacy programs to students in grades K-12. Each JA program contains hands-on activities that align with NYS/Common Core learning standards and encourage innovation, creativity and critical thinking. JA programs have been independently evaluated for efficacy, and are taught by an experienced volunteer who brings real- life examples of success into the classroom and makes everyday lessons in math, social studies and English/language arts relevant to the real world.
