Mission
James Madison High School Band Parents Organization, Inc., provides volunteer and financial support to the student band program at JMHS in Vienna, VA. It is an all-volunteer organization.
About
JMHS Marching Ensemble: approximately 160 students participate in a 3-week summer instruction camp prior to the start of the school year to learn a new marching band drill/show each year for performance at football games and in competition; the marching show is designed by professionals and taught to the students by the band director and instructors; students, instruments and equipment are transported to and from competitions. Parent-organization members (all volunteers ) design and build props used in the marching show; the organization purchases all the materials for the props. The organization pays the fees of adjunct Instructors to assist the and director in teaching the students both the drill and the music for the marching show.
