Mission
Through live performances, theatrical events and educational avenues, the Stanley Theatre, operated by the Central New York Community Arts Council (CYNCAC), remains the center for excellence in the arts, community engagement and economic stability in the Mohawk Valley.
About
CNYCAC maintains and operates the Stanley Theatre, the region's major community and performing arts center, for the benefit of community vitality and quality of life. Audience members attended over 130 events this year, including concerts, Broadway productions, dance competitions, school theater performances (Theaterworks), comedy shows, ballet, community events, talent showcases, body building competitions, wedding and graduation ceremonies, receptions, parties, tours, numerous photo sessions, and more. Stage presentations were held for local high school theater productions (High School Muscial Preview) and also hosted a summer theater camp for 40 local students, culminating with Seussical, performed on stage. The summer theater students also created and performed a cabaret (singing, acting, dancing). Volunteers provided front-of-house services and assistance for all events at the theatre.
