"INNOVATIVE NURSING PRACTICE; DRIVING OUTCOMES" TOOK PLACE ON APRIL 20, 2018 AND PRESENTED NATIONAL AND REGIONAL INNOVATIONS THAT ARE DRIVING IMPROVED PATIENT OUTCOMES. "MINDFULNESS; CREATING THE SPACE TO CARE" TOOK PLACE ON NOVEMBER 16, 2018 AND PRESENTED NATIONAL AND REGIONAL INNOVATIONS THAT ARE ADVANCING NURSE RESILIENCE AND ENHANCING PATIENT INTERACTIONS THROUGH THE PRACTICE OF MINDFULNESS, IMPROVING CASE MANAGEMENT AND NAVIGATOR SERVICES FOR A VARIETY OF POPULATIONS INCLUDING FOR THOSE WITH MENTAL DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES OR IMPAIRMENTS IN INPATIENT OR OUTPATIENT SETTINGS. ALSO IN 2018, THE NURSING CONSORTIUM OF SOUTH FLORIDA ORGANIZED DAY IN THE LIFE OF A NURSE, A PROGRAM TO EXPOSE HIGH SCHOOL AND MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS TO THE NURSING PROFESSION ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 5. MORE THAN 1,000 STUDENTS FROM FORTY-FIVE SCHOOLS VISITED FORTY-FOUR SOUTH FLORIDA HOST FACILITIES INCLUDING HOSPITALS AND SCHOOLS OF NURSING. THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, THE NURSING CONSORTIUM OF SOUTH FLORIDA ADMINISTERS A WEB BASED SYSTEM FOR SCHEDULING STUDENT NURSE CLINICAL EXPERIENCES IN SOUTH FLORIDA HOSPITALS A TOTAL OF 71 HOSPITALS AND NURSING SCHOOLS USED THE CENTRALIZED CLINICAL PLACEMENT SYSTEM IN 2018.
