Mission

Losing a breast changes your life...having it back is life changing after cancer.

About

My Hope Chest provides financial assistance to breast cancer survivors in need of reconstructive surgery without insurance or funds to cover the cost. We also assist with some medical and non-medical bill pay. We navigate applicants through one year or more of three surgeries and educate them on their surgery options. We also provide social service support. Our program operates by appealing to surgeons to provide these services free of charge or at a Medicaid rate - the hospitals or anesthesia doctors never donate their fees. Because of their generosity, many women over the years have been able to feel whole again and good about themselves. These 'in-kind donations' totaled over $113,000 this year, including over $80,000 in program/surgical services and donations for administrative and other services totaled $33,474.
