Hospital Responders have responded to over 10 shootings outside of the catchmentarea in 2017, where they were at the hospital to support victims and families during the mosttraumatizing time anyone can imagine. Even though LIFE Camps Inc. presence are not accepted atJamaica Hospital, LIFE Camps Inc. continue to successfully assist families without the cooperation ofJamaica Hospital staff. LIFE Camps Inc. Hospital Responders have supported families at memorialservices, funerals and have referred families to their therapeutic services component for emotionalsupport. Cure ViolenceProvided legal aid assistance to participants and provided support to participants going to court.Responded to shootings in the street and responded to hospitals on a timely manner.Held effective Shooting Responses.Consistent Community Building with Police. Therapeutic and Professional Mental Health Provided Therapeutic services to families and participants.Families Served by Unconventional and Professional Mental Health Services:In total 32 families were served and each family unit averages 4 individuals, approximately 128 people. Each family requires multiple hours of service, including individual counseling, family counseling, mediation, and unconventional therapeutic approaches. On average LIFE Camp has committed more than 1,920 hours of service to families in need. LIFE Camp also makes referrals to families for additional services.
