Mission
The mission of Beads of Courage is to provide innovative arts-in-medicine programs that improve the quality of life of children coping with cancer and other serious illnesses. We also provide programs that support the families, clinicians, and caregivers of seriously ill children.
About
Beads of Courage Program - Children tell their story using colorful beads as meaningful symbols of courage that commemorate milestones they have achieved along their unique treatment path. Beads of Courage, Inc. maintains the inventory of all program materials for implementation including program bead kits, handmade beads, program membership cards and related materials currently providing support to over 60,000 children in 240 children's hospitals with this program. There are specific Beads of Courage program bead guides to support children coping with the following chronic life threatening conditions: cancer, cardiac conditions, traumatic burns, premature infants, hemophilia and other blood disorders.
