Mission

The Center for Financial Empowerment is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to break the cycle of generational poverty and create more stable communities through youth financial education.

About

We partner with high schools and community organizations in Southern California and Southern Nevada, delivering financial education and empowering disadvantaged young people to make smart financial choices and improve their quality of life. Founded in 2005 by Rize Credit Union, formerly known as SCE Credit Union, the CFE carries out a shared vision to provide much-needed financial education to the next generation of members. This partnership offers a unique, big-picture solution for the area's disadvantaged and immigrant youth: they can learn relevant, actionable economic skills, and receive access to affordable deposit accounts, loans and tools to put their learned skills into action. Our programs empower youth to make smarter financial choices, build wise habits, and enjoy lifelong financial stability.
