About this organization
Mission
We are a science-based organization that uses photography to discover, document and share the overlooked and disappearing life in places with high and at-risk biodiversity. Through our outreach programs we empower international citizen scientists to become stewards of their local ecosystems. Our goal is to help people, governments and organizations make informed decisions that will keep intact their local wild lands.
About
FIELD RESEARCH Many volunteer participants in western Ecuador assisted in collecting data on hundreds of animals, including several new species. The participants took thousands of data points, which continue to be analyzed to produce and disseminate information to managers to make informed conservation decisions. Results were reported to the Ecuadorian government and are also reported at www.BiodiversityGroup.org. Photographs and information on new and rare species were shared via our website and outreach programs.
