Program Service Development, Program Delivery, or Program Evaluation: An ORI CES project team conducted an evaluation of a program in rural Lane Co., OR middle schools to decrease school bullying and relational violence, strengthen girls, and empower staff to facilitate positive changes. A scientist continued implementation of the Triple P-Positive Parenting Program in Lane County for Medicaid families. ORI CES Scientists teamed with the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) for coordinating an annual oral health and BMI screening in randomly selected Oregon elementary schools (grades 1, 2, and 3) and developing a final report on the survey experience. A scientist provided consultation and technical assistance for development of program evaluation capacities at a nonprofit organization that provides support throughout the state of Oregon to families who have children and adolescents with mental, emotional, and/or behavioral disorders. A science team at ORI CES is evaluating OHA HPCDP's work with the CDC to increase the availability of lower sodium foods in institutional settings while engaging the food sector to facilitate reduced sodium levels in packaged and restaurant foods in Oregon. ORI CES Scientists evaluated Lane Co.'s implementation of the Family Check-Up model of parenting intervention. A science team is conducting a program evaluation to determine if a nutrition and physical activity program was implemented effectively and with fidelity in child care facilities in Lane County. A team of ORI CES scientists is evaluating Lane County's implementation of the Triple P Positive Parenting Program. A scientist is providing leadership in technological aspects of intervention development and deployment of the Exceptional Coaching for Early Language and Literacy-Online Professional Development Program for Preschool, Kindergarten, and First Grade Teachers on an Internet/mobile system with Columbia University's Teachers College. A team of ORI CES scientists are collaborating with OEA Choice Trust to plan and implement mindfulness trainings and technical assistance for school administrators and school employees to promote the health and well-being of school employees. An ORI CES research team is conducting a secondary data analysis study to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of Functional Family Therapy-Child Welfare [FFT-CW (R)] on the quality of treatment and prevention services for maltreated youth and their families in a child welfare setting. (12 grant funded projects)
