About

To provide support for rescue and care of captive elephants in India. Captive elephants include temple, begging and circus elephants. The rescue of the elephants includes providing resources for appropriate transport of elephants, funding to build elephant shelters and pools and appropriate legal action. Care of rescued elephants includes providing financial support to treat injuries and wounds, accumulated from years of abuse, and proper nutrition. Also included is the refuse to ride education campaign, targeted to the public to increase awareness of the implications of riding elephants on elephant welfare and conservation.
