Artists Striving to End Poverty (ASTEP) is a community of artists and educators committed to using our time and talent to cultivate the creative capacity, community, and courage students need to thrive. We use artistic expression as a tool to awaken innate potential and possibilities within our students and to build the belief, bravery, and motivation they need to dream big and explore new paths.

Artsinsideout - South Africaastep supported artsinsideout, a unique group of students and working professionals in the performing arts who traveled to areas of the globe to connect with young people who have been impacted by the AIDS epidemic. Since 2011, artsinsideout has led a 2 week performing arts camp at Nkosi's Haven in Johannesburg, South Africa, a residential facility for children and their mothers affected by HIV/AIDS.
