Bay Area Puma Project: This innovative research project in San Francisco's Bay Area region is working to answer important questions about how pumas are adapting to increased human presence, and how we can best reduce human-puma conflict and ensure local survival for this important predator. The project includes GPS-tracking of pumas with cutting-edge collars, remote camera monitoring, extensive onsite tracking and ground surveys, genetics analysis, GIS analysis, and a wide range of local outreach.
