- The friends for life guild is a member of the seattle children's hospital guild association, a tax-exempt fundraising entity of seattle children's hospital. the hospital provides pediatric patient care, medical research, teaching of pediatric residents and other healthcare providers, as well as advocacy for children in the pacific northwest. in 2015, we focused on raising funds by selling hand-blown glass ornaments and votives. each year, an ambassador is selected to design a hand-blown glass ornament and votive. each item is as unique as each child and their childhood cancer experience. sales proceeds fulfill our mission by supporting cancer research activities at the hospital. we believe that "hope is in the research."
