Friend of the Poor India has developed relationships with spiritual leaders in India. Launched a project to assist the Phardi Caste Group in slum areas of Mumbai to rural central India. Also researching and identifying villages and cities in central India for the purpose of establishing communities of followers of Jesus Christ which become self sustaining churches. Also, we meet the needs of the people thru clean water wells, scholarships for the education of the children and widows, and providing food in order to break the chain of poverty. In many rural areas of the city slums of Mumbai and Nagpur, portable water has to be carried miles for domestic use that require a huge investment of time. Many water born illnesses result from lack of pure water. Friend of the Poor Inc. is able to participate in paying for more than 125 sustainable drilled wells.Form 990, Part III, Line 4a - We have established an orphanage in Yavatmal where children can learn.
