Mission
The Fugees Family is advancing educational justice for refugee and immigrant youth. The organization works to afford refugee youth equal access to educational opportunities with the goal that each Fugee will attend a post-secondary institution, earn a degree, and enter the workforce prepared to provide for their families in a way that will enable them to escape from poverty.
About
The organization helps child survivors of war rebuild their lives one step at a time by providing refugee boys and girls ages 10-18, from 28 different countries, grades 6-12, the structure and support to succeed through soccer and academics. The organization operates Fugees Academy which is an accredited, independent, tuition-free middle and high school for refugee students. In addition to the academic program, the organization's year-round programming also includes an afterschool program, summer camp, and provide comprehensive wrap-around services for students and their families.
