About

The Healing Consciousness Foundation [HCF] engaged the services of an outside consulting company to provide quality and management consulting services. The consultant's primary role is to assist the HCF in achieving their strategic goals and initiatives. In 2013, the HCF Board established the Executive Director role. Additionally, the HCF expanded several existing programs and added additional services and programs.Descriptions of current HCF programsIntegrative Healing Therapies are provided by HCF approved Practitioners. Every survivor receives five HEALING CERTIFICATES to use for the holistic services of their choice. The therapies include: Reiki, Energy Therapy, Acupuncture, Massage, Hypnotherapy, Personal Fitness, Guided Imagery, Personal Yoga, Prepare for Surgery, Nutritional Counseling, Tapping or Emotional Freedom Technique, Healing Touch, Integrated Lymphatic Massage, Osteopathic Physical Therapy Treatment and Personal Lifestyle Coaching.HEALING CERTIFICATES - The first service provided by HCF started in 2007. All patients diagnosed with breast cancer referred to the HCF by participating physicians received five "Healing Certificates" that are redeemable for Integrative Healing Therapies. There is no cost to the patient to use the certificates and the patient decides which Integrative Healing Therapy they want to receive. We help breast cancer survivors become "Thrivers".Support Groups were established to bring an amazing group of women together to discuss their feelings and experiences of breast cancer. The laugh, they cry and most importantly, they share with no judgment in a loving, nurturing and caring environment. Started in 2007 the group has now expanded to include over 500 inspirational and beautiful women and a few men. The groups include: Bucks County Breast Friends [BCBF], New Member BCBF Meeting, MetaFriends Support, Young Breast Friends and Living in my Genes.Beautiful You Program-When you lose your hair, you tell the world you have breast cancer. This program allows survivors to decide who to tell and when to tell them. The program includes a Customized Consultation to evaluate hair color, texture and discuss any hair styling changes along with a discussion of removal of the hair and a Wig Consultation to pick-up the wig and discuss any concerns about the wig.Wellness and Fitness Programs are offered for survivors and caregivers. The programs include: VMS Thrivers Workout and group classes for Yoga, Zumba, Core Fitness and Mat Pilates.Annual Thrivers Retreats provide an opportunity for survivors to spend a weekend focused on healing through sessions focused on mind, body and spirit.Create Your Life Program is a 12 month therapeutic group support that is a perfect fit for those women in a position to commit to continuing their journey of self-discovery and to the regular practice of self-care techniques.Education and Prevention Programs include a THINK PINK/LIVE GREEN pamphlet and numerous Dr. Beth DuPree educational seminars including "How Survivors Become Thrivers" and the "Healthy Cooking For Life Program". The "Healthy Cooking For Life Program" is offered to breast cancer patients and high-risk patients and focuses on easy recipes for the family, while utilizing healthy nutritional sources. In the Spring of 2014, the HCF offered a new 2 1/2 day program called Breast Cancer Survivorship Experience to educate breast fellows and breast cancer surgeons from around the nation about survivorship. Art Therapy, Journaling, Zen Calligraphy and Meditative Brush Painting Workshops allow survivors to be able to express their hopes, fears and dreams that have surfaced with the diagnosis of breast cancer.Post-Operative Garment Support Program provides financial assistance needed by surgical/radiation/chemotherapy patients, to purchase items such as lymph edema sleeves, breast prosthesis, and post-surgical undergarments.
