PROGRAM WORKSHOPS, GROUP WORKSHOPS, OPEN STUDIO THE MORGAN OFFERS 38 WORKSHOPS IN HAND PAPERMAKING, PRINT, BOOK AND PAPER ARTS TO THE PUBLIC. WORKSHOPS ARE ATTENDED BY OVER 300 INDIVIDUALS NATION-WIDE. 20 INTERNS/VOLUNTEERS (MAJORITY COLLEGE STUDENTS) WERE ABLE TO SERVE AS ASSISTANTS IN THE WORKSHOPS OR PARTICIPATE FOR A MINIMAL FEE. 7 EMPLOYEES AND CONTRACT WORKERS WERE AFFORDED THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN PAPERMAKING, LETTERPRESS, FINE PRINTING, BOOK, AND PAPER ARTS. 25 CUSTOM WORKSHOPS ON AND OFF-SITE WERE HELD FOR OVER 1,664 K-12 AND COLLEGE STUDENTS, COVERING HAND PAPERMAKING, PRINT, BOOK AND PAPER ARTS. 12 ARTISTS PARTICIPATED IN OPEN STUDIO AND WE HOSTED 14 LOCAL, REGIONAL, AND NATIONAL ARTISTS-IN-RESIDENCE. THE MORGAN RECEIVED WELL OVER 6,000 HOURS IN VOLUNTEER SERVICES FROM 150+ VOLUNTEERS. OUR GALLERY PRESENTED 11 FREE, CURATED EXHIBITIONS, WHICH INCLUDED WORKS BY YOUTH ARTS COLLECTIVE SHOOTING W/O BULLETS, A JURIED SHOW THAT GARNERED 369 LOCAL AND NATIONAL ENTRIES, AND AN INSTALLATION-BASED INVITATIONAL. WE PROVIDED OVER 112 ARTISTS THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXHIBIT WITH POTENTIAL SALES OF ARTWORK. TOTAL ATTENDANCE (AGE RANGE 0-80 PLUS) TO EXHIBITIONS WAS IN EXCESS OF 1,200 INDIVIDUALS. ALL EXHIBITIONS INCLUDED AN ARTIST TALK (FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC) AND 16 ADDITIONAL LECTURES WERE GIVEN BY ARTISTS-IN-RESIDENCE AND VISITING ARTISTS, ATTENDED BY CLOSE TO 200 INDIVIDUALS OF ALL AGES. ALL THE EXHIBITIONS FURTHERED THE MORGAN'S MISSION TO BRING THE ART OF HANDMADE PAPER, BOOK AND PRINT TO THE PUBLIC TO EDUCATE, PROVIDE CULTURAL DIVERSITY AND ENRICHMENT TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. AT NEARLY ALL EVENTS, WE HAVE DEMONSTRATIONS IN THE STUDIOS. THERE WERE NEARLY 4,000 VISITORS IN 2019, APPROXIMATELY 30% WERE SENIORS, 10% WERE CHILDREN AND 60% ADULTS.
