Mission

We are a human services organization focused for 40 years on 'neighbors helping neighbors' with a vision to create communities where all people have the support they need to thrive. Our mission is to enrich the lives of all people in Sanibel and Captiva Islands by neighbors helping neighbors with social services, education and assistance.

About

FISH of SANCAP was launched over 40 years ago from the kitchens and vehicles of island residents, who wanted to make their Sanibel-Captiva community a better place to live, work and visit. Today, our goal continues to be offering services that can assist, educate and enrich our neighbors’ lives. We are able to continually meet the needs of our community through the help of our wonderful volunteers and the generosity of our donors – with 86% of every dollar spent going directly to our programs and services. Since 1982 these islands have worked to take care of each other through good times and bad, and we are humbled and grateful for the opportunity to continue to serve.
