About
YBH of Passaic, a K-8 yeshiva in Passaic, New Jersey, emphasizes the primacy of Torah and Yiras Shomayim and offers a serious and comprehensive General Studies curriculum. YBH stresses the importance of middos tovos and acting with humanity and sincerity in every aspect of one's life, and believes in the centrality of Eretz Yisroel for every Torah Jew. YBH's incomparable professional staff of Rebbeim, Moros, teachers, and administration is headed by our Menahel, Rabbi Berel Leiner. Rabbi Leiner is a talmid of Rav Pam, ZT"L, a musmach of Yeshiva Torah Vodaath and has over 25 years of experience in chinuch. Rabbi Leiner is complemented by Associate Menahel Rabbi Binyomin Perlstein and by General Studies Principal Mrs. Natalie Lichtman. YBH is privileged to have two distinguished Roshei Yeshiva, Rav Hershel Schachter, Shlita, and Rav Mordechai Willig, Shlita, who serve as Morei Derech to the yeshiva. Rav Schachter and Rav Willig guide and advise the yeshiva regarding Piskei Halacha, Hashkafa, and overall Chinuch policy. The yeshiva is housed in a new, state of the art campus that features a lavish setback from the street, providing a secure and pleasant learning environment. The boys and girls divisions are housed in separate wings of the spacious facility, which also includes a Beis Medrash, library, laboratory, lunchroom/auditorium and gymnasium. For additional recreation there is an indoor play area for the Pre-School, two outdoor play areas for our younger students and a basketball court for our older students. Perhaps unique among primary school yeshivos, YBH is privileged to host the Passaic-Clifton Community Kollel (link is external) in its Beis Medrash. In addition to serving as wonderful role models for the yeshiva students, the kollel yungerleit also learn with the 8th grade boys one on one during Mishmar every Thursday.
