To provide free legal services in civil cases to low income residents in Bergen, Hudson and Passaic counties in New Jersey.

In the year ending June 30, 2015, NNJLS provided direct legal assistance to over 9,000 persons in the areas of housing (29% of total cases), consumer issues (22% of total cases), family issues (18% of total cases), and public benefits law (31% of total cases). NNJLS also provided community-based legal education to over 3,000 low-income residents of Bergen, Hudson and Passaic counties.
