Wintonbury Land Trust purchased Hawk Hill Farm in 2015. In 2016 the Land Trust began rehabilitation of the Farm's 1870's historically important bank-style barn. The first phase of work began in late 2015 and was completed early in 2016. This first phase of work stabilized the barn so that the farmer renting the property could shelter her Scottish Highland cattle during harsh winter weather. Fundraising for the second phase of work began in 2016 and extended into 2018. $32,664 was spent on the second phase of work (replacement of the barn's doors, most of the barn's siding, and installation of new gutters), with $12,432 of that amount spent in 2018. Some foundation repair work remains and will be completed at a later date.
