Food Bank of Central New York is a not-for-profit organization working to eliminate hunger through nutritious food distribution, education, and advocacy in cooperation with the community.
About
Food distribution - includes the acquisition and distribution program and retail partnership program (RPP). Acquisition program is composed of foods purchased through vendors, donations from donors, food drives and grocery partners. These foods are then available for the partner agencies to request for pickup/delivery to supplement the foods they already have in stock for distribution to individuals and families within their communities. RPP picks up grocery and perishable foods on a daily basis from grocery stores and wholesalers in our service area for immediate delivery to a partner agency. These partner agencies then ensure prompt distribution of these food items to individuals and families within their communities.
