SAY YES TO EDUCATION, INC. IS A NATIONAL NONPROFIT THAT PARTNERS WITH COMMUNITIES AROUND THE GOALS OF ALL STUDENTS NOT ONLY GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL - BUT DOING SO WITH THE SUPPORT, PREPARATION AND WHEREWITHAL TO ATTAIN A COLLEGE DEGREE OR OTHER POSTSECONDARY CREDENTIAL. MORE THAN 180,000 STUDENTS IN KINDERGARTEN THROUGH GRADE 12, MOST OF THEM IN COMMUNITIES IN NEW YORK, PENNSYLVANIA, NORTH CAROLINA, AND OHIO HAVE ACCESS TO ACADEMIC AND NON-ACADEMIC SUPPORT SERVICES FROM PARTNERS IN SAY YES COMMUNITIES. UPON HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION, SAY YES SCHOLARS ALSO HAVE ACCESS TO POSTSECONDARY SCHOLARSHIPS - TO IN-STATE PUBLIC COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES, OR THE MORE THAN 100 PRIVATE COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES IN THE SAY YES HIGHER EDUCATION COMPACT. THE SAY YES STRATEGY IS ALIGNED WITH WHAT RESEARCH INDICATES IS NEEDED TO ENABLE ALL CHILDREN TO MAXIMIZE THEIR GIFTS AND TALENTS. THE SAY YES PROMISE AND SUPPORTS BEGIN WHEN A CHILD ENTERS KINDERGARTEN AND CONTINUE THROUGH HIGH SCHOOL AND BEYOND.

BUFFALO, NY CHAPTER:BUFFALO CHAPTER EMBRACES THE ENTIRE CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT, IMPLEMENTING SUPPORT SERVICES TO ADDRESS ACADEMIC, SOCIAL/EMOTIONAL AND HEALTH NEEDS OF STUDENTS. UNLIKE SYRACUSE, BUFFALO PUBLIC SCHOOLS WERE DIVIDED INTO FOUR COHORTS, WITH EACH INCLUDING EQUAL REPRESENTATION OF HIGH, MID AND LOW PERFORMING SCHOOLS. THE FOLLOWING SERVICES HAVE BEEN ROLLED OUT TO EACH COHORT: AFTER SCHOOL AND SUMMER ENRICHMENT PROGRAMMING, COLLEGE COACHING, MENTORING, TUTORING AND ACADEMIC ASSISTANCE, PARENT CENTERS, A CITY-WIDE BOYS AND MEN OF COLOR EFFORT AND LEGAL ASSISTANCE FOR FAMILIES. ADDITIONAL SERVICES CURRENTLY AVAILABLE ARE SCHOLARSHIPS AND STUDENT MONITORING.
