Caregivers Volunteers of Central Jersey (CVCJ) fills the important role of providing medical transportation to the homebound, frail elderly. This includes transportation to doctor visits, chemotherapy, physical therapy, lab work, etc. When the elderly need to give up their car keys due to their own medical issues, their ability to remain independent in their own home greatly diminishes. This is especially true for those who lost a spouse and either do not have children or their children cannot care for them. Our largest service accomplishment is to provide free transportation through caring volunteers to prolong their independence and link them to other resources.
