Mission
The Immigrant Legal Advocacy Project (ILAP) helps low-income immigrants improve their legal status and works for more just and humane laws and policies affecting immigrants.
About
Direct legal services: ILAP provides a continuum of services based on client needs and goals. Full representation is reserved for complex cases that have dire consequences and are unlikely to be successful without an attorney. The immigration forms program offers consultations, brief interventions and application assistance to individuals navigating the immigration system. In 2019, ILAP represented 293 full representation clients and served 2,788 individuals in the immigration forms program. ILAP also maintained a success rate of greater than 97% in cases that reached a final decision. Additionally, 175 pro bono attorneys donated 4,014 hours of their time valued at 1,032,536.
