To help meet the needs of people in all walks of life who are trying to cope with life's stress
About
JFS provides case management, prevention and education, counseling, referral services, food and economic aid to the community in the Lehigh Valley. Major program accomplishments include expansion of our food pantry with 42 new clients enrolled. JFS operates a choice pantry that serves approximately 125 family units per month. Case management increased from 51 clients to 83 clients per year. Older adult transportation program in partnership with Share Care uses volunteer drivers who transport 34 active riders. 84 special events for holidays were held at facilities where older adults live throughout the Lehigh Valley. 75 clients received professional counseling services, at least half at low or no cost. JFS held a successful fund/friend raiser honoring older adults with almost 300 persons in attendance.
