About this organization
To inspire, encourage and enable women surgeons to realize their professional and personal goals. The Association of Women Surgeons (AWS), founded in 1981, is a not-for-profit educational and professional organization. With over 2,500 members, both women and men, AWS is one of the largest organizations dedicated to enhancing the interaction and exchange of information between women surgeons. Truly an international organization, AWS has members in over 30 countries.

The mission of the Hopkins County Community Clinic is to provide medical and medication assistance to low-income working citizens of Hopkins and Webster counties using volunteer professional staff. In addition, the clinic also provides health screenings, flu shots, and informative health fairs to the public. The clinic's intention is to help those who are making a sincere effort to help themselves and their families. The clinic provides medical professional services and medications to approximately 65 low income individuals free of charge (176 total visits). Patient education is an integral part of providing the free medical services.
