Spiral Q produces public art projects to spark equitable, inclusive, and creative civic engagement in partnership with schools, universities, community based organizations, fine arts institutions, social service agencies, and community development organizations. Working to bring people together to creatively combat discrimination, racism, and other oppressions, these projects incorporate award-winning in-school and out-of-school arts education, apprenticeships for high school and college students; the development and production of cultural festivals and parades; the production of original performances, visual work, and exhibitions; and the stewardship of a collection of 2,000+ original puppets and artwork that celebrate the rich heritage of populist art and archive a social history of the regions neighborhoods.
