VOICE AND VISION OFFERS SERVICES IN THREE MAIN CATEGORIES; (A) PEER SUPPORT, (B) EDUCATION, AND (C) CONSUMER/FAMILY SATISFACTION.(A) PEER SUPPORT:(1) COLLEGE PLUS WHICH SUPPORTS PEOPLE WITH MENTAL HEALTH CHALLENGES AND CO-OCCURRING DISORDERS TO GO TO COLLEGE AND OBTAIN CAREER GOALS, (2) COMPEER - FRIENDSHIP MATCHES WITH PEOPLE WHO HAVE MENTAL HEALTH CHALLENGES, (3) COMPEERCORPS - FRIENDSHIP MATCHES WITH VETERANS WHO HAVE MENTAL HEALTH CHALLENGES, AND (4) REGIONAL INREACH - PEER SUPPORT TO PERSONS LIVING IN A LONG-TERM MENTAL HEALTH FACILITY.(B) EDUCATION:(1) MENTAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER TRAINING AND EDUCATION IS OFFERED THROUGH THE OUTREACH AND EDUCATION PROGRAM, AND(2) HELP AND HOPE - THE COMPREHENSIVE GUIDE FOR FAMILIES OF CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS.(C) CONSUMER/FAMILY SATISFACTION TEAMS AND INDEPENDENT MONITORING FOR QUALITY TEAM:ASSESSES THE QUALITY OF LIFE, TREATMENT/SERVICE EXPERIENCE, AND TREATMENT/SERVICE OUTCOMES OF PEOPLE WITH MENTAL HEALTH CHALLENGES, SUBSTANCE USE DISORDERS, AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES AND THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS AND USES THE INFORMATION TO MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS TO IMPROVE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITY SERVICES.DURING THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2018 THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES TOOK PLACE:*THE NEW CONSUMER/FAMILY SATISFACTION TEAM WAS HIRED AND STARTED WORK IN DELAWARE COUNTY. *COMPEERCORPS - SERVING VETERANS BEGAN - TWO VETERAN MATCHES WERE ESTABLISHED*THE OUTREACH AND EDUCATION PROGRAM STARTED AND OUTREACH TOOK PLACE TO BRING MENTAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE USE EDUCATION AND RESOURCES TO CHURCHES AND FAITH-BASED MINISTRIES *IN THIS FISCAL YEAR, A CUMULATIVE TOTAL OF 4,000 COPIES OF HELP AND HOPE GUIDE WERE DISTRIBUTED TO FAMILIES, PROFESSIONALS, SCHOOLS, AND COMMUNITY GROUPS/NON-PROFITS*CELEBRATED THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF COLLEGE PLUS WITH FUNDERS, PARTNERS, FRIENDS, AND ALUMNI AT THE BUCKS COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE. OVER 175 STUDENTS HAVE GONE TO COLLEGE THROUGH THE COLLEGE PLUS PROGRAM.*THE DRUG AND ALCOHOL FAMILY ENGAGEMENT REPORT WAS DISTRIBUTED TO FAMILIES, PROVIDER AGENCIES, COMMUNITY GROUPS AND INSURANCE COMPANIES. THIS REPORT OFFERS RECOMMENDATIONS ON WHAT CAN BE DONE TO SUPPORT FAMILIES AND TOWNS AFFECTED BY SUBSTANCE USE DISORDERS.*A QUALITY ASSURANCE AND IMPROVEMENT MANUAL WAS CREATED AND IMPLEMENTED FOR THE CONSUMER/FAMILY SATISFACTION TEAM PROGRAMS.
