Youth leadership - WCI's girls advocacy and leadership series (GALS) offers a unique opportunity for under-represented teenage girls in Philadelphia to develop leadership skills and create advocacy campaigns that have a positive impact on their communities. The GALS program aims to fill the gender gap in leadership by providing high school girls with personal and professional skills. 100% of GALS participants reported having a positive experience with the program and cited an improvement in their public speaking skills. For the first time, WCI also hosted GALS in Kisumu, Kenya, where approximately 40 girls participated and gained confidence and leadership skills.
