MEETING AND WORKSHOPS: THE NUMBER OF MEETINGS AND WORKSHOPS HELD HAS INCREASED FROM A TOTAL OF TWO EVENTS HELD IN THE UNITED STATES IN 1980, TO A TOTAL OF 305 EVENTS HELD WORLDWIDE IN 2018. IN 2018, DIA CONDUCTED 110 WORKSHOPS AND TRAINING COURSES IN THE UNITED STATES WITH OVER 4,000 PARTICIPANTS. IN ADDITION TO THESE EVENTS, THE DIA ANNUAL MEETING, THE LEADING GLOBAL CONFERENCE ON PHARMACEUTICAL INFORMATION AND EDUCATION, ATTRACTED 6,900 PARTICIPANTS FROM THE US AND ACROSS THE WORLD. IN 2018, DIA CONDUCTED 95 WORKSHOPS AND TRAINING COURSES ACROSS EUROPE, ATTRACTING OVER 3,500 PARTICIPANTS. IN ADDITION, THE ANNUAL DIA EURO MEETING, WHICH ATTRACTED OVER 1,000 PARTICIPANTS, IS RECOGNIZED AS ONE OF THE PREMIER FORUMS FOR EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION IN THE EUROPEAN MEDICAL/PHARMACEUTICAL COMMUNITY. IN 2018, DIA CONDUCTED 24 EDUCATIONAL EVENTS IN JAPAN, ATTRACTING OVER 3,400 PARTICIPANTS FROM JAPAN AND OTHER COUNTRIES. IN 2018, DIA CONDUCTED 14 EVENTS IN CHINA, ATTRACTING OVER 5,400 PARTICIPANTS. IN 2018, DIA CONDUCTED 8 EVENTS IN INDIA, ATTRACTING OVER 500 PARTICIPANTS. IN 2018, DIA CONDUCTED 7 EVENTS IN REST OF THE WORLD, ATTRACTING 400 PARTICIPANTS. WITH AN ON-GOING COMMITMENT TO INTERNET TECHNOLOGY-BASED LEARNING, DIA CONTINUED TO EXPAND ITS GLOBAL REACH AND ADVANCE ITS MISSION BY OFFERING VARIOUS WORKSHOPS IN ELECTRONIC WEBINAR FORMAT.
