Treepeople's environmental education department focuses heavily on delivering education programs to students all over Los Angeles County. Treepeople's programs include environmental stewardship awareness, youth leadership in environmental literacy, school greening projects and many more furthering the environmental education department's mission and goals. To put the following statistics in perspective, Los Angeles is home to both the second and third largest school districts in the United States. In 2018, Treepeople worked with over 14,000 middle and high school students and 250 teachers on environmental service learning projects in over 240 different schools. In addition, we hosted over 8,800 students at the Treepeople campus, teaching them about the environment through hands-on outdoor learning activities and exposing them to environmental stewardship.
