About

BBI's board of directors voted unanimously at its semi-annual board meeting on October 1, 2010 to begin raising funds and recruiting missionary personnel for the Togo radio outreach project in Togo, Africa. The project is being undertaken in cooperation with the Togo field of the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism (ABWE). A joint ministry agreement was approved and signed in March, 2013 which provides the basis for this partnership in Togo. Both missions are in the process of raising funds and recruiting workers in order to begin construction of a studio building, and a tower/transmitter site in close proximity to the studio. Nearly ten acres of land was purchased in early 2014 on the outskirts of Mango, just over one mile from the ABWE hospital site. It is being secured and developed at this time. A tower has been donated and erected. The completed target date for this project is 2017.
