About

The South Texas Blood & Tissue Center (STBTC) specializes in collecting and providing life-saving blood and blood components to hospitals and patients in the South Texas region and beyond. We meet this commitment through our generous donors, who help save lives every day by giving of themselves. STBTC drew nearly 105,200 life-saving red blood cell units in 2018. 2018 was a strong year for our Brothers in Arms program. This STBTC initiative helped establish a stable and easily replenished pre-hospital blood product to be transfused in emergency situations. (Continued on Schedule O)
