About
Admissions, $316,748, declined from previous year by $26,895 due to extensive road construction. Though we experienced an overall decrease, online sales increased over 100%. Gift Shop Sales, totaling $126,230, increased $14,294 over prior year, which includes an increase in online sales of $7,545. Increase in sales with fewer admissions was due to a greater focus on merchandising and ensuring stock purchases of popular items were made before inventory was depleted, as well as improved signage and promotions. Contributions, $169,330, declined from previous year by $39,122 primarily due to a shift in the timing of grant award dates. However, during the year, the organization received online contributions of $9,345 for the first time.
