THE TITUSVILLE YMCA, AS A CAUSE DRIVEN ORGANIZATION, RESPONDS TO MEETING THE CRITICAL NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY BY OFFERING A VARIETY OF PROGRAMS AND SERVICES FOCUSING ON YOUTH DEVELOPMENT, HEALTHY LIVING AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. THE Y IS MAKING A POSITIVE IMPACT ON SERVING NOT ONLY ITS MEMBERS, BUT ALSO THE COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE. THE YMCA IS OPEN TO ALL, FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE AND THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IS EXTENDED TO EVERYONE. IN THE AREA OF HEALTHY LIVING, THE Y IS COMMITTED TO IMPROVING AMERICA'S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING. FOR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT, EXAMPLES OF PROGRAMS AND SERVICES INCLUDE: SWIM LESSONS, EDUCATIONAL GAMES AND A VARIETY OF SPORT AND RECEREATIONAL CHOICES FOR YOUTH, HOME SCHOOL PHYSICAL EDUCATION, FAMILY NIGHTS, NUTRITION THROUGH GOVERNMENT FOOD PROGRAMS (CACFP DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR AND SFSP DURING THE SUMMER), VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITUES, SERVICE LEARNING PROJECTS, PRE-K SCHOOL READINESS PROGRAMS, ANNUAL SPECIAL EVENTS THAT INCLUDE 5K/10K AND KIDS FUN RUN, TRIATHLON AND YOUTH GOLF TOURNAMENT. IN THE AREA OF SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY, WE PROVIDE A SAFE SOCIAL GATHERING PLACE TO BUILD RELATIONSHIPS, SEND LETTERS TO THE TROOPS, VISIT THE SENIORS IN ASSISTED LIVING, HOLD A HAT/MITTEN DRIVE, HOLD A "LIGHTS ON" AFTER SCHOOL EVENT, AND PARTICIPATE IN COMMUNITY WIDE EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES.
