Municipal Risk Management, Inc. (MRM) is a nonstock, nonprofit corporation. It began operations on January 1, 1982, to provide an organization and method whereby municipalities, Pennsylvania municipal authorities, and other tax-exempt governmental agencies may jointly cooperate in the exercise or in the performance of their permitted governmental functions, powers or responsibilities related to providing protection from liability for workmen's compensation insurance through a municipal safety group concept. The concept is designed to reduce injuries, reduce costs and provide savings and dividends to members with good claims record.
