Since its founding in 1983, FLM-Haiti has provided basic literacy education (a two-year Haitian-government certified curriculum in reading, writing, and math) to more than 40,000 adult Haitian men and women through its 70+ adult literacy centers. Additionally, since 1989 FLM - Haiti has operated a permanent school, certified by the Haitian government, for 650+ children grades preschool - grade 13. The students are also provided a hot lunch with vitamins.
