During this period, Apraxia Kids provided direct education on Apraxia to over 4,000 parents and professionals through one day educational workshops, live and on demand webinars, evening seminars, and a two and one-half day national conference. Our website serves as a major source of reliable information on Apraxia to over 436,000 users. We manage many social media sites for which over 30,000 individuals participate. We invested in community outreach bringing together 15 volunteers to increase awareness and resources for our families. Our national Apraxia awareness walk events help to raise awareness at 65 cities with 14,000 participants. We continued our speech tablet program, distributing speech tablets and protective cases to children from low to moderate income families. Apraxia Kids also funds Apraxia research and awarded research grants to investigate the most effective treatments for childhood Apraxia of Speech and assisted researchers throughout the world to recruit objects for their Apraxia research studies.
