IN NICARAGUA, WE CONTINUED TO SUPPORT AND STRENGTHEN PROJECTS IN OUR PARTNER COMMUNITIES - CHACRASECA AND LA FLOR - FOCUSING IN FOUR DEVELOPMENT AREAS: HEALTH, EDUCATION, SOCIAL ENTERPRISE, AND AGRICULTURE.IN HEALTH, WE PROVIDED ACCESS TO CLEAN DRINKING WATER FOR OVER 400 STUDENTS IN 13 SCHOOLS AND IMPROVED SANITATION BY BUILDING 12HANDWASHING STATIONS IN SCHOOLS AND 6 LATRINES IN SCHOOLS AND HOUSEHOLDS. WE REDUCED THE PREVALENCE OF SMOKE IN 7 HOUSEHOLDS BY BUILDING CLEAN-BURNING COOKSTOVES. WE PROVIDED OVER $6,000 IN MEDICATION AND DENTAL SUPPLIES TO THE HEALTH CLINIC IN CHACRASECA. WE FACILITATED MEDICAL BRIGADES WITH TREATED 2,000 PATIENTS IN 24 MOBILE CLINCS.IN EDUCATION, WE PROVIDED 300 BACKPACK SCHOLARSHIPS TO ELEMENTARY CHILDREN AND 10 UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS. JUSTHOPE PROVIDED RESOURCE CRATES TO 14 SCHOOLS IN CHACRASECA WITH LEARNING MATERIALS THAT 85% OF TEACHERS UTILIZED. THE CULTURAL CENTER CONDUCTED OVER 100 HOURS OF DANCE CLASSES, 192 MUSIC CLASSES, AND ONE INTENSIVE MUSIC CAMPS. IN SOCIAL ENTERPRISE, JUSTHOPE CONTINUED MONTHLY TRAININGS AND WORKSHOPS TO FACILITATE THE SUSTAINABILITY OF WOMEN LED MICROCREDIT BANKS. THERE ARE 200 MICROCREDIT BANK PARTICIPANTS. JUSTHOPE CONTINUED TO PROVIDE TRAINING AND RESOURCE SUPPORT FOR THE STITCHING HOPE SEWING COOPERATIVE. JUSTHOPE PROVIDED BUSINESS PLANNING AND FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT TRAINING TO PROJECT BENEFICIARIES.IN AGRICULTURE, JUSTHOPE PROVIDED 10 CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOPS TO 150 FARMERS IN CHACRASECA. JUSTHOPE MODELED AGRICULTURAL EXPERIMENTS AND DEVELOPED A LOCAL FARM COMMISSION TO FACILITATE PROJECTS AT THE FARM.
