Groundswell Cafe, co-working, and events was able to accomplish much in its first full year of operation. Groundswell Cafe provides a place where everyone has access to fresh, healthy food, regardless of their ability to pay; the co-working space is a shared workspace and community-driven atmosphere for location-independent workers and entrepreneurs in the area; and the event space provides a flexible venue for the community to come together. In 2019 we accomplished the following: - The cafe was able to serve $28,162.75 worth of free meals through the financial contributions of our customer base, and other organizations - Our average daily sales escalated from $325.89 in the first quarter to 436.23 average daily sales for the year. Showing considerable growth over the year - In February we expanded our hours and menu to include breakfast - In June we were able to hire a full-time chef that has helped us to produce great quality food, and expand our outreach - Although co-working has been a slow burn, we were able to ramp up participation at the end of the year through some well thought out promotions, we ended the year with 16 full members and two punch cards sold - We had 133 paid events and 12 open mics
