TABLE's mission is to provide healthy, emergency food aid every week to children in Orange County, NC. We envision a community where all children have equitable access to nutritious food and knowledge to experience optimal health, well-being, and dignity.
About
Our weekend meal backpack program provided healthy food for local children in Orange County, NC over weekends, school breaks, and summer when free or subsidized school meals were not available. Table partnered with 36 partner sites to reach 713 children during the school year and 534 kids in the summer. In total, Table distributed 210,281 pounds of food, including 65,661 pounds of produce, 142,489 of healthy non-perishables, and 2,131 pounds of fresh milk.
