SEE SCHEDULE O.IN THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2019, THE FAIRFAX COUNTY GOVERNMENT HAD 3,367 CHILDREN ENROLLED IN THE MCCP PROGRAM. IN ADDITION TO CHILDREN SEEN PRO BONO AT KAISER PERMANENTE, THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED 984 MEDICAL OFFICE VISITS AND 937 DENTAL OFFICE VISITS FOR UNINSURED CHILDREN OF FAIRFAX COUNTY. THE FOUNDATION OPERATES AS A PUBLIC/PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP. THIS MODEL ENABLES EACH PARTNER'S CONTRIBUTIONS TO BE LEVERAGED FOR THE MAXIMUM POSSIBLE BENEFIT. THE FOUNDATION HAS THREE GROUPS OF PARTNERS. THE FIRST PARTNER IS THE FAIRFAX COUNTY GOVERNMENT, WHICH PROVIDED A $237,000 GRANT TO THE FOUNDATION RESTRICTED TO OPERATING COSTS. IN ADDITION, THE FAIRFAX COUNTY GOVERNMENT HAD A BUDGET OF APPROXIMATELY $852,000 FOR ITS OUTREACH WORKERS, CASEWORKERS, AND MANAGERS TO ADMINISTER THE MCCP PROGRAM THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTS, WHICH IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE FOUNDATION'S FINANCIAL STATEMENTS.THE SECOND GROUP OF PARTNERS ARE THE MEDICAL AND DENTAL COMMUNITIES. KAISER PERMANENTE PROVIDED 2,894 CHILDREN MEDICAL CARE PRO BONO IN THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2019, WHICH WAS APPROXIMATELY $3.0 MILLION IN DONATED SERVICES TO THE FAIRFAX COUNTY GOVERNMENT. THE KAISER PERMANENTE DONATED CARE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE FOUNDATION'S FINANCIAL STATEMENTS OR 990. IN ADDITION, THE MCCP PROGRAM HAS HUNDREDS OF DOCTORS AND DENTISTS IN THE NETWORK WHO PROVIDE CARE AT REDUCED RATES OR AT NO COST. THE FOUNDATION PAID A NET AMOUNT OF $311,227 TO THE FAIRFAX COUNTY GOVERNMENT TO PAY FOR THE DISCOUNTED MEDICAL AND DENTAL COSTS OF CHILDREN WHO WERE CARED FOR BY THESE PRIVATE DOCTORS AND DENTISTS. THE PROGRAM WAS ALSO ABLE TO PROVIDE CARE TO 832 CHILDREN THROUGH THE GENEROUS DONATION OF PRO BONO DENTAL SERVICES TO THE FAIRFAX COUNTY GOVERNMENT VALUED AT $302,516. THIS MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IS ALSO NOT INCLUDED IN THE FOUNDATION'S FINANCIAL STATEMENTS OR 990.THE THIRD GROUP OF PARTNERS ARE THE FOUNDATION'S VOLUNTEERS AND FUNDERS - INDIVIDUALS, CORPORATIONS, FOUNDATIONS, AND COMMUNITY GROUPS. THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES VISION AND STRATEGY FOR THE MCCP PROGRAM, EXECUTES ON ITS STRATEGIC PLAN, AND RAISES THE FUNDS TO PAY FOR THE CHILDREN'S CARE.THE PROGRAM RECEIVED THE FOLLOWING PRO BONO DONATIONS NOT INCLUDED IN ITS FINANCIAL STATEMENTS OR 990: THE FAIRFAX COUNTY GOVERNMENT $852,000, KAISER PERMANENTE $3,000,000, AND PRIVATE DENTISTS $302,516 FOR A TOTAL OF $4,154,516 IN FISCAL YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2019.THE DENTAL PROGRAM RECEIVED A GRANT FOR THE ACQUISITION OF A MOBILE DENTAL VAN, WHICH WAS DELIVERED IN THIS FISCAL YEAR HOWEVER, WAS NOT PUT IN SERVICE UNTIL AFTER THE CLOSE OF FISCAL YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2019.
