THE ORGANIZATION'S PRIMARY TAX-EXEMPT PURPOSE IS TO CARE FOR ORPHANED AND VULNERABLE CHILDREN IN NORTHERN UGANDA BY PROVIDING A HOME, FOOD, MEDICAL CARE AND AN EDUCATION TO THEM.

UNCLE FRED'S HOUSE SGU PROVIDES FOOD, CLOTHING, MEDICAL CARE, AND ADVOCACY WHEN NEEDED FOR APPROXIMATELY 250 CHILDREN STILL LIVING ON THE STREETS OF LIRA, UGANDA. APPROXIMATELY 53 FORMER STREET CHILDREN CURRENTLY HAVE A LOVING HOME, EDUCATION, MEDICAL CARE, AND TRAINING IN LIFE SKILLS WHILE LIVING IN FOUR CHILDREN'S HOMES ON THE SGU PROPERTY. IN 2018, SGU PAID FOR SCHOOL FEES AND SUPPLIES FOR 26 OF THEIR OLDER CHILDREN TO ATTEND SECONDARY SCHOOL, VOCATIONAL SCHOOL, OR COLLEGE. 27 CHILDREN WENT TO SGU PRIMARY SCHOOL WITH THEIR NEW UNIFORMS AND SCHOOL SUPPLIES. A PASSENGER VAN AND TWO MOTORCYCLES WERE PURCHASED TO HELP WITH TRANSPORTATION TO ASSIST CHILDREN ON THE STREET, TRANSPORT CHILDREN TO SECONDARY SCHOOL, AND VISIT EXTENDED FAMILIES WITH THE HOPE OF EVENTUALLY REINTEGRATING CHILDREN BACK INTO THEIR COMMUNITIES. THE OLDEST CHILDREN'S HOME UNDERWENT EXTENSIVE RENOVATION AND ALL OF THE HOMES WERE PAINTED. THE ORIGINAL SMALL WELL ALSO REQUIRED REPAIRS. GRANTS FOR THIS PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENT WERE UTILIZED AS FOLLOWS: COMMUNICATIONS 2,098 EQUIPMENT 490 FOOD 9,232 MEDICAL 2,821 MOTORCYCLES 3,630 PERSONAL EFFECTS 4,404 STREET CHILDREN EVENTS 852 UTILITIES 312 VAN 20,700 TRANSPORTATION 8,073 TUITION (INCLUDES 2019 PREPAYMENT) 71,186 WELL 408
